Top 10 Drinks

Everyone has a top whatever list, but really Dave Letterman started that back in the 80s with his top 10 list.

So, from the home office in Newport Beach, CA our top 10 drinks.

#10 - Red Bull and Vodka: We love this drink early in the night. It tastes delicious and gets you loose and ready for a big night.

#9 Orange Juice: A great start to the day is cereal and OJ. However, OJ can be great on its own.

#8 Margarita's: Possibly the highest caloric alcoholic beverage, and definitely the best with Mexican food. We all love chips and guacamole along with a nice margarita on the rocks with salt.

#7 Champagne: Sparkling wine or Champagne is a nice and tasty beverage to celebrate a wedding, engagement or just a fun night on the town.

#6 Bloody Mary: Nothing like a Saturday morning breakfast with eggs, bacon, toast and a Bloody Mary.

#5 Vitamin Water: It is the most recent beverage creation on this list, we love it after a work out. It isn't great for you, 125 calories per bottle, but it half the calories compared to Gatorade and it tastes better.

#4 Beer: No list would be complete without beer. It is usually the gateway drink to all others. Our first beer was as a teenager at a high school party. Some rich kid got a good keg of Sierra Nevada and it was far too bitter. I gave my cup to a friend and had a Zima or some other gay beverage.

#3 Red Wine: The movie Sideways created a lot of buzz about Red Wine and Pinot Noir in central California and Paso Robles. That region has been creating great wine for along time and the recognition was far overdue. While Napa had the name and pedigree, Central California including Paso, Santa Barbara and Santa Ynez all provide the value. Don't get me wrong, I still love a good Napa Cab. There just is a lot of other good California red wine. I enjoy the Syrah's, Petite Sirah's and Pinot Noir's produced in California.

#2 Coffee: We have it every morning. Whether it is a cup of joe straight from the coffee pot in your home or a 4 dollar cup of coffee from starbucks (Peet's Coffee is our favorite), if you skip the morning coffee you get that afternoon headache. Coffee isn't a luxury, it is necessity. It is how much you spend on that necessity that may make it a luxury.

#1 Water: You can't live without it but it is also wonderfully refreshing. Water is the perfect compliment to a meal. They say to drink 8 glasses a day, we can't say we drink that much but we do consume quite a bit of water, especially on those days when we work out. Nothing is more refreshing than a huge glass of water after a workout.
