What we've watched this week

Two shows we caught since the Olympics ended:

1) The Hills

Everyone knows and has strong opinions about the Hills. Personally, we have loved teh show up until the last few weeks. The plot just seems too contrived. Speidi showing up She Pratt's birthday was just too typical. We knew it was going to happen and them showing up with the balloons was no surprise at all. Even so, if you aren't watching the Hills you are missing out on some of the most mindless television possible.

2) Jo and Slade: Date my ex

This show is so horrible that my wife won't watch it. It is so bad that it is amazing all at the same time. I don't want to give away the plot in case you haven't jump on the best/worst show since Joe Millionaire but at the end of the last episode you had Slade saying that "Zach is lucky he didn't walk by me," inferring that Slade was going to kick his ass. Uhhh. Slade......big fella, you were standing right there and didn't move as he told your ex he wasn't that into her and you didn't do anything or say anything until he was long gone.

Almost immediately after this dramatic move, Slade tries to join the game and wants to take Jo out on a date. Of course the show ends immediately thereafter but fortunately the previews gave us a clue as to what would happen next week. Basically it looks like both of the remaining bachelors want to quit and Slade is left there standing. We are guessing that Jo will talk both guys into staying and yet will still pick Slade and resume a relationship with him. This whole show seems contrived and fake and we love that about it.
